Parking: Parking in the pub car park adjacent to the pub will be virtually impossible - The Plough is a very popular restaurant / pub; when we arrive, the pub car park will probably be busy with diners. However, there is an overflow car park on the right hand side just beyond the pub next to the Methodist Chapel (However, please note that there is a sign which states that the gate at the entrance is locked at 10:30pm).
Alternatively, Hashers should park (1) on Beauty Bank road near the pub (2) on the opposite side of Dalefords Lane on Beauty Bank road or (3) on the verges alongside Dalesford Lane. Don't park on Dalesford Lane. When you have parked hashers and walkers should walk the short distance to the pub ready to start the run.

  • Notes :-

This pub was called The Drum & Monkey in the 19th and early 20th centuries, then it was changed to The Moss Rose Inn (and used by the hash in the 1982 and 1983 as this) — except that everyone who lived locally simply ignored the name-change and kept on calling it The Drum & Monkey — or simply The Drum. It reverted back to its original name by the time the hash next ventured there.
